Hi Sangmin, You can enter the out folder swan/out/target/product/BFX-UA300$ lpdump super_empty.img the information shows that super partition contains /system /vendor /product partitions. so you can use du -h command size of super = du -h super.img size of vendor = du -h vendor.img size of product = du -h product.img size of system= du -h system.img Approximate available space of super partition = (size of super) - (size of vendor) - (size of product) - (size of system) Thanks, Jason |

Hello, Jason, $ du super.img 1600556 super.img $ du vendor.img 197824 vendor.img $ du product.img 573600 product.img $ du system.img 829112 system.img available space of super partition = 20 MB = 1600556 - 197824 - 573600 - 829112 So, can Swan expand the super partition only 20 MB more? Do I understand correctly? If yes, how can we add more prebuilt application such as "skb_webview"? skb_webview apk size is about 70 MB. Thank you. Sangmin Choi. |

Hi Sagnmin, >>Do I understand correctly? yes >>If yes, how can we add more prebuilt application such as "skb_webview"? skb_webview apk size is about 70 MB. I think SPTEK should remove AppleTV+ and compressed zemkids. Thanks, Jason |

Hello, Jason, Thank you for detail explanation. So, we can't expand super partition size because it's already fixed(syna-release/configs/product/bg5ct_a0_android_q_launched_stb_v4/emmc.pt) (....) 1656M super default default none 16M fastlogo default default none 4M vbmeta default default none 4M vbmeta_system default default none 2M misc erase default none 4M fts erase default none 2M frp erase default none 32M metadata format default none 984M cache format default none 100M btv_home format default none - userdata default default none Am I right? And, I guess changing super partition size through firmware upgrade is not possible, am I right also? Thank you. Sangmin Choi. |

Hello, Jason, I have one more question. The super partition size of Swan is 1656M. And, the size of super.img is 1600556.(about 1563M) Does it mean super.img is possible to expand 93M more? Thank you. Sangmin Choi. |

Hi Sangmin, You also need to consider BOARD_GROUP_OEM_SIZE. Because if we include larger file, During building image, we will see the following log. The sum of sizes of [system vendor product] is within BOARD_SUPER_PARTITION_SIZE: 959946752+203341824+572100608 == 1735389184 <= 1736441856 == 1736441856 The sum of sizes of [system vendor product] is larger than BOARD_GROUP_OEM_SIZE: 959946752+203341824+572100608 == 1735389184 > 1728053248 == 1728053248 I think you can use command "ls -al super.img" It's more easier to check if the size of super.img is greater than BOARD_SUPER_PARTITION_SIZE (1736441856 ) and BOARD_GROUP_OEM_SIZE (1728053248 ) Thanks Jason |

Hello, Jason, Thank you, that's what I exactly want to know. So, using 541 branches, The sum of sizes of [system vendor product] is within BOARD_GROUP_OEM_SIZE: 878108672+203350016+572100608 == 1653559296 <= 1728053248 == 1728053248 sum of sizes of [system vendor product] can be expanded more about 71MB. Thank you. Sangmin Choi. |
